I am writing about the article, "Flavelle sawmill's future questioned" (Friday, March 8).
I had a question myself. Given that Flavelle mills cedar and that, by law, there is virtually no cedar exported, how have log exports impacted the mill?
There is obviously another cause for this cedar shortage but it can't be log exports when cedar logs can't be exported.
However, I agree it would be a tragedy if we lost this mill. Someone should find out the real reason for Flavelle's cedar shortage and see if that can be addressed to save this mill and those jobs.
