Thank you so much for publishing such a beautiful, wonderful, feel-good story on the front page of the Wednesday, Jan. 16 paper ("Act of kindness leads to new bond").
I would like to see every paper publish positive stories on their front pages. I feel we are bombarded with negativity by the media.
I have long maintained that if we were only allowed to read, see and hear positive stories, the world would be a better place.
Wednesday's front-page story shows that it is never too late to thank someone for their kind words or deeds. It also serves to show we can never know the effect our actions or words will have on another.
Sarah Bondi's decision to leave that Christmas card has obviously had a profound ripple effect on the community - with Larry Coleman's family, and now everyone who reads or hears about this story. So thank you, Sarah Bondi and Larry Coleman, for making my day and inspiring me to be a better person. Ms. Bondi, you are absolutely right that it is the simple acts and words of kindness that are so important in life. You say this would not have happened if it
weren't for your daughter, Kira, but obviously Kira has an amazing role model. Leonard Coleman sounds like he was a good, kind man. What an amazing legacy to Larry Coleman and the rest of his family.
