The BC Liberal Party has set a date to select its candidate for the Port Moody-Coquitlam byelection.
The nomination meeting will be held Feb. 17, shortly after a nomination meeting for the Chilliwack-Hope byelection.
"We look forward to these next steps in preparation for the pending byelections," said party president Sharon White in a press release.
Former Chamber of Commerce president Dennis Marsden recently announced he will seek the Liberal nomination for Port Moody-Coquitlam.
Former Port Moody mayor Joe Trasolini is the BC NDP candidate, while Christine Clarke will run for the BC Conservatives.
The seat has been vacant since MLA Iain Black stepped down from his post.
The byelection must be called by April 3, but a date has not yet been set.
