Yesterday marked the fifth visit by one of the province's top two politicos in less than two months.

Premier Christy Clark was expected to visit Port Moody's Current Corp. Thursday in an effort to bolster talking points around her economic platform and job creations strategy. Located on Murray Street, the business specializes in designing marine cameras.

Clark also visited Port Moody's SHARE food bank in December, while BC NDP leader Adrian Dix has practically made weekly appearances in Port Moody since the beginning of the year.

Dix was in the City of the Arts on Monday lobbying for the completion of the MurrayClarke Connector, and made two other stops in Port Moody in January to prop up Joe Trasolini's bid in the upcoming Port Moody-Coquitlam byelection.

Incidentally, an Angus Reid public opinion poll released Wednesday suggested that 26 per cent of B.C. residents thought that Dix would make the best premier, followed by a 22-per-cent approval rating for Clark.

A byelection date has not yet been set.
