Tri-Cities residents extended a generous hand across international borders this holiday season.
The U14 Coquitlam Adanacs lacrosse team bought a milking cow in Buyaya, Uganda, for a school recently built by Coquitlam-based non-profit Meaningful Volunteer.
The cow, named Adanac, will provide milk and manure to fertilize the school's garden.
As well, Coquitlam's Good Shepherd Day Care helped Meaningful Volunteer to collect money for Christmas gifts and food for the children in Buyaya.
