The Jan. 16 session is on "The medical aspects and effects of alcohol and drug abuse." This free session is designed for those who have an alcohol or drug problem, those concerned about their use and people affected by others' use. This is a drop-in program. Oasis Wellness Centre is hosting meditations for health and wellbeing, Wednesdays 7 to 8: 30 p.m. at 1111 Austin Ave., Coquitlam. The Jan. 16 session presents three simple meditations that can be practised by anyone, including a New Year's resolution to be happier and learn to meditate.
