Rec centre patron wins lifetime pass

He was lucky number one million.

Bruce Landon was the onemillionth customer to walk through the doors of the Port Moody Recreation Complex since it opened on April 12, 2008.

To mark the milestone, Landon received a lifetime fitness pass.

As a rec complex regular, Landon visits the facility five times per week with his partner, Nancy Maloney.

After suffering a stroke four years ago, Landon was left bedridden and unable to speak with slim chances of recovery, according to a press release from the city.

Thanks in part to his dedication to recreation, Landon is now independently mobile and has progressed with his speech.

The complex features a fitness centre, spa area, double gymnasium, indoor running track and childminding room.
