Vickie Ayers opens her annual haunted house to the public, at 443 Draycott St. in Coquitlam (near Austin Avenue and Mundy Road). The family-friendly haunted house, which runs through Halloween, is open nightly from 6: 30 to 9 p.m. Donations will be accepted to support Variety - The Children's Charity of B.C. Ayers has raised more than $250,000 over the years through bottle drives, the haunted house and other fundraisers.
Saint Catherine's Anglican Church and Art Focus Artists' Association host a wine-and-cheese preview to their community art show, from 7 to 9 p.m. at 2211 Prairie Ave. at Shaughnessy Street (same location as Trinity United Church) in Port Coquitlam.
