Coquitlam Centre will host a celebration feting five years of the Family Learn and Play program on Jan. 30.

Coinciding with Family Literacy Day celebrations across Canada, the day will begin with a brisk walk through the mall, followed by Baby Storytime.

Seniors will be treated to a walk through the mall, tea, storytelling and performances by the Glen Pine Singers and the Dogwood Songsters during the lunch hour.

Teenagers will get to try their hands at songwriting as part of a workshop hosted by Shaun Verrault from the band Wide Mouth Mason, or check out the new PoCoMo Youth Services Bus.

More than 20 local organizations will participate in the Adult Literacy Tradeshow throughout the day, while children's entertainers Bobs and LoLo will perform at 5 and 6: 30 p.m.

Tri-Cities mayors and public servants will also be reading stories between 5: 30 and 6: 30 p.m.
