COQUITLAM — Three companies that played a part in a pair of large-scale construction projects in the Tri-Cities are being lauded by their peers for the end result.
The Vancouver Regional Construction Association announced Wednesday some of its Silver Award winners ahead of the group’s Oct. 19 gala, and the hardware is being doled out to: TASK Construction Management Inc. and Whitewater Concrete Ltd. for their work on the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex, and the LMS Steel Reinforcing Group for its contribution to the Coast Meridian Overpass.
TASK stood out in the category of General Contractor Over $40 Million, while Whitewater Concrete picked up the President’s Trade Award.
The LMS Steel Reinforcing Group, on the other hand, was given the Chairman’s Trade Award.
“The Silver Award winners are true leaders in the industry,” said Keith Sashaw, Vancouver Regional Construction Association president, in a press release. “They all represent companies that were able to bring projects of the highest calibre in on time and on budget.”
The Vancouver Regional Construction Association’s 23rd annual Awards of Excellence gala will be held Oct. 19 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
