Drop everything and read with Coquitlam Express

Monday will give kids the chance to drop everything and read with guys who usually start with a drop of a puck.

The Coquitlam Express junior A hockey club will mark National School Library Day on Monday with two events at the Coquitlam Public Library called the Drop Everything and Read Challenge.

Children are invited to join Express players as they read some of their favourite stories and sign autographs. Each child will also receive a reading card and find out how they can exchange it for a free ticket to an Express home game.

The library's read-ins take place in two installments: from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Poirier branch, 575 Poirier St., and from 3 to 4 p.m. at the City Centre branch, 3001 Burlington Dr.

The read-ins are considered drop-in programs, so no registration is required.

For information, call 604 927-3561, Ext. 4 or check the library's website at www.library.coquitlam.bc.ca.
