Wednesday's public announcement makes me think government officials have become too optimistic about the Evergreen Line.

There are plans to begin pre-construction this month, yet funding is not secured. The unpopular action of raising property taxes will most likely be needed to complete funding, and the line will have little enhancement for travelling into Vancouver, especially during the morning rush hours.

This event makes me skeptical that officials know little or nothing of the congestion problems beyond the Millennium Line's end, something I believe is more urgent than the Evergreen Line.
