PORT COQUITLAM - The discovery of a pair of jackets near the scene of a brutal assault in PoCo earlier this month has the Coquitlam RCMP issuing a renewed call for the public's help.
Hoshiar Bajwa, a 64-year-old security guard, was assaulted by a group of unknown males at a construction site just south of Pitt River Middle School in the early morning hours of Oct. 14.
Investigators believe the two jackets found near the scene are associated to the persons of interest related to the assault.
"Our investigators continue to scour through the material we collected so far for evidence," said Cpl. Jamie Chung in a news release. "These jackets are pretty unique when you put them together. We are hoping someone can come forward with information on the owners of the jackets."
Anyone with information related to the jackets or the incident is asked to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2012-28845.
Anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers via 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
