Coquitlam Mounties are asking for the public's help in finding a missing girl.

Fhionna McCormick, 12, has been missing since Aug. 2 when she walked away from her group home.

While investigators have no reason to believe she has come to any harm, they would like to know her whereabouts.

McCormick is described as Caucasian, with a fair complexion, brown eyes, a thin build, standing five feet five inches tall and weighing 110 pounds.

At the time she went missing, she had dyed blond hair with blue bangs.

Coquitlam RCMP are asking the public not to approach McCormick, but rather to call the local detachment at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2012-21192.
