COQUITLAM — Three Tri-Cities residents are among the latest batch of suspected rioters Vancouver Police have recommended criminal charges for.

VPD announced another 200 charges against 44 men and six women on Wednesday, including two Coquitlam residents and one Port Moody resident.

Charges of participating in a riot, mischief, disguise with intent, assault, and arson will now go to the Crown for approval.

This brings the total number of adults and teens from the Tri-Cities to 14. Eight from Coquitlam, two Port Coquitlam and two Port Moody residents are now facing charges.

Several suspects who pleaded guilty have already been given jail sentences for their roles in June 2011 riot that followed the Vancouver Canuck’s Game 7 loss to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup finals.
