It looks like a suspected serial lotto thief has run out of luck.
Coquitlam Mounties arrested a 36-year-old man believed to be responsible for multiple robberies in the Tri-Cities committed during the holiday season.
The man, who has not been identified, was arrested Friday allegedly fleeing the scene after attempting to steal a handful of lottery tickets from a Port Coquitlam liquor store.
A press release noted Coquitlam RCMP are "working closely with neighbouring police agencies and partners to ensure that all applicable charges are forwarded."
Police were expected to release further details about the case Monday, once the suspect made his first court appearance, but have not done so yet.
Mounties first asked for the public's help in catching the suspect prior to Christmas.
Investigators believe the suspect is behind robbing as many as eight convenience stores in Coquitlam and PoCo of scratch tickets.
The robberies took place in a two-week span between Nov. 29 and Dec. 13.
The robber used either a gun or knife to pull off the robberies.
