From Yogi to Smokey, Winnie to Fozzie, we've grown up with cute talking bears.
But what do you do when you see a real bear on the trail?
Learn how to stay safe while hiking in local parks. Join a park interpreter on Saturday, July 7 from 10 a.m. to noon for a bare-all about bears.
Learn about their sensitive noses on a short walk through the rainforest. Examine real claws and teeth and find out what they like to eat. Leave feeling confident about what to do when you see a real bear.
Co-sponsored by Coquitlam parks, recreation and culture services, this program requires registration.
The cost is $8 per person, and everyone six and older is welcome to participate. To register, call 604-927-4386 and quote barcode 392285.
