Coquitlam Mounties are asking for the public's help in finding a missing teenager.

Chelsea Ann Nygren, 18, was reported missing to police Thursday morning.

She was last heard from on the evening of Dec. 12.

Nygren is described as a Caucasian woman, standing five feet tall, weighing 106 pounds with long dark hair.

She also has scars on her cheek and a tattoo that reads "NEIL" on the back of her neck.

Nygren was last seen wearing a short dark brown jacket with a fur hood, blue jeans, and black flat-soled knee high boots. She was carrying a purse.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2012-34850.

After nearly a week on the lam, a missing patient from the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Port Coquitlam has been found on the other side of the country.

Coquitlam Mounties got a call Wednesday from Peel Regional Police in Ontario notifying the force they had picked up Kurt Derksen.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for the 58-year-old hospital patient last Thursday after he went missing.

Police said Derksen was out on a pass at his brother's home in Richmond when he left the house.

Peel police didn't go into detail about how they found Derksen, but Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung said investigators would be following up with the Ontario force to get more information.

He also said Mounties want to know how the patient managed to get to Ontario from Richmond.

Chung said it's not only a relief to get Derksen back in custody for the people living near the hospital, but for the patient himself who needs help. He also noted arrangements are being made to have Derksen transported back to B.C.

Derksen is the second patient to go missing from the hospital in recent weeks.

Charles Albert Hansen, 60, was reported missing on Nov. 22, but returned to the hospital a couple of days later.

Several patients have gone missing from the hospital this year, but most were returned within a couple of days.

However, one patient who went missing last spring is still at large.

David Fomradas, 34, went missing in May on an unescorted day pass and has not been seen since.
