If you've survived the Port Moody Penguin Plunge and haven't gone over a fiscal cliff, consider these options to start your New Year sports viewing:

Best of B.C. It's a full house of the province's top junior curlers beginning today with the 2013 Tim Hortons Junior Provincial Curling championships, hosted by the Coquitlam Curling Club.

Among the junior boys challengers is Coquitlam's Habkirk rink, one of the youngest rinks in competition in the under-21 tournament.

Action begins at 9: 30 a.m. Wednesday to Friday, with playoffs starting Saturday 8 a.m. The championship round is Sunday, with girls final slated for 3 p.m., while the boys throw their stones at 7 p.m.

WOLVES STALKING The Coquitlam Metro-Ford junior Wolves set their sights on first place in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League's Under-21 league with a game Saturday, 5 p.m., at Coquitlam Town Centre East turf, against the North Van Average Joes.

TURN THE PAGE That's what the Port Moody Panthers hope to do with a new calendar. The junior B hockey club looks to end a 10-game losing skid on Saturday, 7: 45 p.m. (at the Port Moody Arena), when they host the Grandview Steelers. The Panthers have locked up last place in their division with the recent slide.
