Under the bright lights of La La Land, a trio of Coquitlam-based racquetball players shone on the world stage.

Grace Killins and brothers Chris and Connor Culhane each medalled at last week's World Junior Racquetball Championships in Los Angeles, Calif., with Killins copping bronze medals in both girls singles and doubles in the under-10 age category.

Killins, 11, partnered with Regina's Abby Drury in taking the doubles crown, and helped build upon her standing as the current Canadian champion in her age group.

After a tough opening match loss, Chris Culhane came back to win gold in the u-12 singles white (consolation) division, beating players from Guatemala in both the semis and finals.

Connor Culhane, on the other hand, claimed third in the u-16 Challenger Cup portion of the week-long event.

Last week's international meet featured more than 250 players from upwards of 20 countries vying for racquetball bragging rights.
