The Coquitlam Metro-Ford under-15 girls outlasted their Mountain United rival last Sunday 3-2 to advance to the B.C. Premier Soccer League's Provincial Cup final.

Coquitlam got goals from Andrea Perotta, Brooklyn Doucette and Rielle Harding to earn a spot in the first provincial championship of the spring elite circuit.

It was just one of 10 playoff games the club was competing in last week.

Metro-Ford's u16 girls side edged South Fraser 1-0 to advance to the final.

The u13 team fell 1-0 to Fusion, the u14 side was edged by the same score by Mountain, and the u18 team was bumped 3-0 by Surrey.

The girls finals go this Sunday, when the u16 play Mountain at 2 p.m., while the u15 take on Surrey United at 5 p.m. - both games at Minoru Stadium in Richmond.

On the boys side, both the u14 and u17 teams came out victorious in their games.

The Coquitlam u14 boys knocked off Fusion 1-0, while the u17 - who are playing in the u18 league - eked out a win over Magnuson FC in a play-in test.

The u14 final features Coquitlam playing Surrey United, noon Saturday at Minoru.

The u-18 semifinals will feature two Coquitlam Metro-Ford sides, with the u17s playing tonight (Friday) against the Fusion in Richmond. The other u18 Coquitlam squad hosts Thompson Okanagan tonight, 8 p.m. at Town Centre East.
