In a makeup game over the holidays, the Port Coquitlam boys under-14 United braved the cold and the Coquitlam IceCaps and emerged with a 3-1 victory in minor soccer action.
Facing below freezing temperatures, falling snow and a thin roster, PoCo pushed on. Coquitlam scored first but Justin Cho delivered the equalizer before the half ended.
In the second frame, United found itself down to just 10 players but got standout defensive leadership from Branden Eadie and Garrett Martel to stave off the IceCaps charge. Cho, with his second, and Branden Goff registered goals to lock up the victory.
PoCo improved to 11-0 on the year, having surrendered just five goals over that span.

Taking their game indoors, the Coquitlam Metro-Ford boys u13 Revolution II strung together a nice stereak en route to the title at the Richmond Power tournament.
Gurman Sangha's marker against North Shore Futsal proved to be the difference in a 2-1 triumph in the final.
Coquitlam earlier defeated Victoria 5-2, North Delta 8-2 and Cliff Ave 1-0, while suffering a 2-1 setback to the host Richmond side.
