They have sticks, they have a ball. Now, this local team just needs you to help make their Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer dream a success.

The Tri-Cities based group, which goes under the moniker F**k Cancer, is holding a local fundraiser Sept. 29 at Eagle Ridge United Church.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the players will be accepting donations while participating in an all-day road hockey game. They'll also be selling discounted tickets to see the Coquitlam Express. On Oct. 5, the team will have a hockey shot contest and a car wash, all to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.

The team needs to raise a minimum donation of $10,000 to advance into the Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer event at Concord Pacific Place in Vancouver on Oct. 13.
