Coquitlam's Brittany Rogers is spearheading a University of Georgia Gym Dogs revival.
The Canadian Olympian helped the No. 8-ranked Georgia gymnastics team capture fourth place at last week's Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, TX. The performance earned her the Southeastern Conference's Freshman of the Week award.
The first-year student/athlete scored career highs in three events, including tying for second on the vault with a score of 9.9. She led the team on both vault and bars with identical 9.9 scores. Rogers, 19, also posted a 9.825 on the balance beam.
In individual NCAA rankings, Rogers is tied for 20 th spot on vault.
