CHIEFS KEEP CHARGING UP MIDGET CHARTS

Fresh off another sweep in B.C. Major Midget Hockey League play, the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs are one local hockey club that has that winning feeling.

Along with a busy schedule of high school hoops and clutch soccer games, here's a check list of options for sports lovers who want an alternative from the uncertainty nature of Canucks Nation.

ARC LIGHTING Coming off an enlightening venture through last week's Centennial Centaurs Top-10 Shootout, the Terry Fox Ravens senior girls basketball team gets back into league matters starting tonight, when they host the W.J. Mouat Hawks (6 p.m. at Terry Fox Secondary, 1260 Riverwood Gate). The Ravens will be looking for a measure of revenge, after falling 7844 to the Hawks earlier this month.

QUICK THROW-IN Mired at mid-pack, the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Wolves of the Vancouver Metro premier men's soccer league eye a less crowded spot in the standings. The 8th place Wolves can start by taking down the 5th-seeded ICST Pegasus on Saturday, 3 p.m. at Coquitlam Town Centre East.

GOALS GALORE The Vancouver Northeast Chiefs continue to make a charge for a top-three spot in the B.C.
