Port Moody siblings Ashlyn, Riley and Kyler Arnold competed at last week's Provincial Taekwondo team trials and Master's Cup in North Vancouver, with winning results for each.

In her black belt junior A weight class, Ashlyn secured top marks. The teen is in Grade 8 at Moody Middle.

Riley, a Grade 11 student at Heritage Woods Secondary, placed first in his black belt junior A weight class, adding first overall in senior weight class division. Younger brother Kyler, who also holds a black belt, placed second overall in the nine-year-old division.

Both Ashlyn and Riley now advance to train with team B.C. to compete at the Canadian national Taekwondo championships in January. The trio train at Taegeuk Taekwondo in Port Moody.

GOLD FOR COQUITLAM YOUTH

It was a golden moment for 11-year-old Lucas Skaric, as he secured top prize in junior under belt SKIL point fighting division at the Western Canadian Martial Arts championships in Burnaby. Skaric, a Hillcrest Middle student, trains at Coquitlam's Personal Best Martial Arts.
