Vikings' line silences White Rock in grid win

 

 
 
 

Behind a stellar line on both offence and defence, the Coquitlam Vikings cruised to a 28-0 victory over White Rock in junior bantam football action.

Coquitlam grabbed a 20-0 lead in the first half, with some impressive yardage from Xavion Fleary, Nic Greene, Moe Hassan and Adam Tennant.

Booting two point-after kicks was Quincy Cultess, while three players - Chad Deugau, Keon Fuoco and Mak Stephens - pulled down interceptions.

Racking up some clutch tackles along the way were

Dade Motz and Matt Shuen.

. Jeremy Kankolongo rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Coquitlam jr. bantam Raiders to a 22-6 win over North Surrey.

Kankolongo averaged 12 yards per carry and added a convert kick, as Coquitlam improved to 8-0 on the season.

Defensively, the player nicknamed 'The Beast' set the tone with nine tackles.

Also playing major roles in the decision were Trent Cooper, Latrell Ens-Stewart, Jude Hussain and Jaden Shanley.
