I went for a late night swim at White Pine Beach and was unable to drive out because my car was caught behind the locked gate. I was walking in the dark when after five vehicles passed me, finally a good Samaritan, Sandra Chapman, asked if I was OK and offered to drive me to my home.
I would have had a six-km walk and my husband would have been worried; it was encouraging to know that there are still people in Metro Vancouver who care. Thank you to the lovely women that picked me up and the Port Moody police who retrieved our vehicle.
