If you're looking for information on the best places to tour the Coquitlam River, a new website has you covered.
The Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable recently unveiled a brand new website at www. coquitlamriverwatershed.ca. It features a tour of nine places along the Coquitlam River, from the dam at Coquitlam Lake to Kwikwetlem First Nation at Colony Farm, where the Coquitlam River empties into the Fraser River.
It also features videos and photos taken within the watershed, a fully searchable database of documents and maps, a calendar of events, and a news archive.
According to the organization's press release, a website with virtual tours was identified as the first priority project to be undertaken by the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable when it was formed in 2011.
"The website is a dynamic one," said Elaine Willis, a member of the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable and the Tri-City Green Council, in a statement. "We are inviting other partners - including local businesses, institutions and organizations that share our common vision of a healthy Coquitlam River Watershed, to partner with us to expand and contribute to the content of our website."
