A rainforest comes alive at dusk

What goes on when the sun goes down?

Metro Vancouver presents Rainforest by Night, a discovery of what emerges as dusk falls in our rainforest.

The educational session on Sept. 28 (6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m.) features a park interpreter taking kids six-and-over with parents and caregivers on a search at Minnekhada Regional Park on Quarry Road in Coquitlam, listening for barred owl calls, the sight of bats and flying squirrels and salamanders stalking insects.

The cost is $4.25 per child, $8 per adult or $21.50 per family. Registration is required: 604-432-6359.
