Fraser Health is launching a new toll-free phone number creating easier access to health-related community services at no extra cost to the person in need.
Individuals who need information on health services for either themselves or a family member living anywhere in the Fraser Health region - including the Tri-Cities - can call toll-free any day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. "The trained staff member will help identify the person's health-related needs and will refer them to the services they require or arrange for a clinic or home visit," said Nafisa Abdualla, spokesperson for Fraser Health.
"This is a great tool for people who need help themselves, or for people who are seeking help for their family members to call and access information."
Home support services include: Bathing, grooming, toileting and feeding.
In-home health care. Nursing clinics in all communities.
Day programs for seniors.
Services to give caregivers a break.
For those in need please dial 1-855-412-2121 to speak with staff available in multiple languages.
